This site is now officially in BETA test. The profile system should be working properly, even if some templates (the photographers for example) are ugly still. We've limited the beta to ONE profile -- either photographer or model. You can also have your public profile (and NEED to have it, as it is what has your age, location, etc). Your private profile is your default home page on the system, and shows your defaults, user status, and eventually all your stats, updated comments, and such. It also links to all your profiles -- modify/view. You can also upload a logo image that is used on your default profiles. Later on, when the portfolios are enabled, you will be able to set a default image for each of your profiles/portfolios (eg: public, model, photographer, etc). We do suggest you keep your main LOGO image as your default image, since it is how people will get to know you, and that is what this is about. If you change your logo/avitar too often, people will never get to know you, and it becomes self-defeating in this faceless on-line world. The same as your username, which you hopefully CAREFULLY picked, people will know you by your logo/avitar. It is how they will identify you between pages, areas of the system, and even month to month or day to day. That brings up another point. The logo *MUST* be an image of you eg: headshot or such, and may not be a photo of another person. You may instead upload a logo image, if it's a generic image that is CLEARLY not meant to mislead anyone on age, sex or such. In short, you may not use the avitar/logo to advertise your newest shoot as is done on other sites. (BTW: The system will resize those long skinny images into toothpicks.) This rule will be enforced, and your logo/avitar can (and will be) permanently locked to a system "I didn't play by the rules" image if you don't comply. Males attempting to use a female image will be permanently banned -- and vice versa. There are a HUGE number of features coming, as the various parts are deployed here. Once the portfolio system is set up, we'll release features like: Advanced ratings, comments and feedback. Advanced Friends & Favs People you want to work with (again/never) etc. And more. Most features are simply adapting templates. Others require some back end code (most of which has already been written!). So, join in, let us know what you like and don't, and what need fixed up. I may limit the beta test to 25-50 people... so hurry! I will be deploying this software in a more limited fashion on Bodyart.com, which is why I'm working on it here. I'd like the best software for my own site, and I feel this is it. Bodyart.com will use a more stripped down version -- one profile per member, and one gallery (sort of more like myspace). Oh -- and this software is for sale in a modular format for your own websites. If you are interested, check out what it can do at http://ultranerds.com. The site is a bit dusty, but the power of the GLinks engine code is really obvious. (BTW: Bodyart.com and many other sites are using this EXACT SAME software, without the custom image/profile mods! Pretty impressive!) Scott aka Bodyartist
