This message will change over time, but the simple statement for now is: This is a model/photographer site for networking. It's not a portfolio site. It's not a free-hosting site. It's not a hot-chat or dating site. It's not for agents, or photographers to splash their logos across "models" portfolios. It's not going to allow photographers and others to overrun the MODLESrow part of the site. It's not like any of the other sites out there --MM, OMP, MP, RK, etc. We have portfolio, hosting, networking, ranking, rating, forum, email, and other features available or being set up, but they are part of the larger purpose. In short, any trouble, disrespect, or abuse of the system or others will not be tolerated, and you probably won't be given a second chance. By the time you are an adult, we expect that you have learned certain behaviours, and you can either function in a polite society, or you can't. So, no "punks" or punk language. It won't be tolerated. English is the language of this site. That goes for residents of the US, Canada, as well as residents of other countries. We are not trying to be a site for everyone, just local Pittsburgh region for now, and maybe other select areas later on. ENGLISH is spoken in this area, so using any other language does not serve anyone, including yourself. That means good grammar, whole sentences, reasonably good spelling (typos do happen), and no 4-letter words of any length. Got it? You are ALL guests here, and you need to understand this is not a _PUBLIC_ system. It's a privately run system, and will stay that way. It's designed to provide a huge BENEFIT to its members, so there are rules of membership, rules of conduct, and other rules as well. Rules let everyone have a good, safe and fun time. So know the rules, and *MOST* people won't ever come close to breaking them. The rest of you have been warned. What can you expect from this site? 1) A place to promote yourself - not your photographer, model, or whatever. Your images may not have huge or intrusive watermarks or copyrights. That is site policy, and it WILL NOT CHANGE. You can chose to be a part of this site under those rules, or not. 2) A place to interact with others. In addition to the rankings and ratings, and feedbacks and comments, there is a FULLY POWERED *THREADED* forum with private messaging features. We chose to NOT build a crippled, poorly designed messaging feature into the profiles area, but instead use an extremely robust, existing system. In addition, we may be offering fully-functional web-based and POP email to members. ALL your on-site conversations will go through the forum software, and your off-site conversations can use your regular email program. The forum is open to others, not just those within the regional-draw. 3) A place to improve and learn. There are feedback, comment, rating, and other areas, as well as tutorials and critiques. Watch for more as the site develops. 4) SAFE networking. On this site, everyone should know everyone else with less than 2 degrees of separation (sorry Kevin). Your reliability, activity, and general status will be known. New members can be assured of working with people who are REAL, and can work to generate their own "REAL" status. 5) More. But the above is the main stuff. Some sites have too many features unrelated to the primary business. A blog is nice, but what does it really have to do with the primary purpose of the site? More importantly, feedback, discussion, and networking are what should be going on. Scott
